Scott Greene: – today we are focusing on sports photography work

  • Had the opportunity to shoot the High School football team throughout the year and when they made the championship he was able to score a press pass for the field at the Georgia Dome – GHSA Football Championship
  • Rented an older Nikon 400 f/2.8…a new lens is $9,500…rented for $120 with a D3S
  • Also had a D4 with a 70-200 f/2.8G and a 24-70 f2.8G used after the game
  • Lighting Issues – complete difference in the Georgia Dome versus a High School field
    • High School – I shoot in shutter priority because of the change in lighting from one end of the field to another.  A sequence of shots would result in difference different exposures which is caused by the pulsating lights
    • Georgia Dome – Even lighting everywhere…the lighting was perfect and enabled me to get even shots
  • Shooting the team previously allowed me to know the teams plays and who the quarterback would be throwing to
  • Ensure you get pictures of more than just the action:
    • Fans
    • Sidelines
    • Scoreboard
    • Celebration
    • Equipment
